Soaring in Zeeland
Optimal Training Conditions
Wide sandy beaches serve both as a training ground for parakite control and as a comfortable landing area for dune soaring. Zeeland's attractive spots range from small to high dunes, and from flat to steep dunes.
- Training is possible on the ground, at the dunes, and in the air
- Never fly over beach huts!
- Never step on the dune grass!
- Swimming guests have priority - observe distance rules!
- The lifeguards and the police are responsible for enforcing compliance with the rules
- Always observe the local rules!
- Please be aware that at “Renesse”: Do not fly near any beachhouses or restaurants. The restaurants owners dislike the soaring pilots already and in order to not further escalate the current situation by all means please maintain a large distance.
- Please be aware that at “Zoutelande”: Do not fly low over the footpath. There are a few pilots almost crashing into pedestrians and the government is closely monitoring all current soaring behaviour.
